When I was in school, if I had less time to study, I would do what I called ‘learning by sight’, even Maths (Yikes!). Basically just read it and hope it sticks. But this technique was not effective, because I might have grasped it that day but then I’d look at it again the next day and it would be like latin or greek.
So I started a method where before exams, during study leave, I would read but this time would write down the important notes and points, because though it took extra time and effort, when I felt the need to look back, it would help remind myself of what I learnt on the day.
That is what this blog mainly is to me, it is my lessons learnt, my experiences as I felt it at that time, to remind me of where I’ve been and what I’ve known, to encourage me as well as others who come across my posts. There are so many times I look back at my older posts and think “Was that really me”, but I can see the growth, even if it is in tiny, baby steps of progress. I had a bad phase, I let my feelings dictate how I lived, but I know now that I can’t live a truly God-destined life unless I take control of my feelings. And I choose to do that and I know by His grace I will overcome it.
A visitor to my blog recently said quote “God doesnt need a blog to be reminded of what is happening in one’s life. If one has a communication with his/her Maker, there is no need of penning each and every thing. This is just to draw empathy.. sympathy from the world.“. Thing is, for me I have been encouraged so many times by reading someone else’s blog, blessed by hearing of their experiences and their conversations with God. Then sometimes when I’d see a blog of someone in pain, I would take a minute to pray or to encourage them how I knew to.
So I believe, my experiences good or bad, if it helps encourage or bless even just one person, it’s worth sharing it.
This is my blog, my struggles, my views, whose else’ can I talk about? I’m an ordinary person, but I aim to live an extraordinary life, with my family, serving the One who gave it all.
Fellow bloggers – am curious to know, what led you to blogging? Would love it if you shared your experiences as well.
Note: All I have talked about on personal front I did need somewhere or someone to share it with, perhaps it wasn’t the wisest choice at the time, but I can’t help that now. For a long time I’m pretty sure it was just me who even saw my blog, I didn’t wish to put myself out there for anyone else to know. I shared the link only to 1 or 2 who I felt would not betray or judge me. Any who, now my blog is out in the open and I’m not afraid because I realized that only truth in love can help fix everything that has happened. Again, the posts where I felt I was judging someone un-necessarily or letting my emotions get the best of me, I have taken down. Honestly, if those concerned, you feel there is any post that says something un-fruitful about anyone, you can let me know and I will do the required.

Hi Abby I found your blog by following your your icon when you commented on one of my blogs, thanks for visiting and commenting. You asked the question here ‘what led your readers to blogging’… My answer to that is I was a new Christian and could see Jesus working in my life. The difference with him verses without him is amazing I have been watching myself transform into some way different than I used to be. I is so exciting that I felt like I should share it with everyone and I also know it’s what God wants me to do. I am kinda shy and still sometimes have a hard time pushing the publish button though. I am looking forward to reading more of your blog, what I have seen so far is really good!
Thank you for visiting my blog and for the kind words, appreciate it! Wow, you’re so right, it’s hard not to share how He works in our lives. It’s true, He can do wonderful things in our hearts. Still, life happens and we fall short many times, I know I do, but He’s always there to help us get back up and just in awe when I think of His mercies!
Thank you for visiting my blog. I see that you have had “trouble” with a specific reader. I have yet to experience anything like that. Hope I never do. I blog as a release, to write, and to be read. I share myself completely in my blog and hope that my experience will help others in some way, somehow. Again, thank you for visiting!
I came across your blog and was stunned by how your words just flow seamlessly. I usually write a line of my thoughts, edit it like 10 times before hitting publish. But I can relate to what led you to blog. Thank you for visiting!
Thank you…what a kind thing to say. I will continue to visit. Hope you do, too! 🙂
