So the first 1 yr in US, the one thing I missed in food was the shawarmas back home. We came across this place by chance and after that, over the last 8 months in US, this was a frequent food joint.
The shawarmas, the kababs, the grilled chicken, the garlic dip, the hummus – gosh, totally craving mediterranean food right now as i remember it 🙂
This place was run by a family, and the family especially Nariman and their sweet lil girl Siam, made the meals there all the more special.
Picture of the place as I remember, the corner seat was my regular!
The funny thing of our experience we kept telling our friends what a great place it was but never got around to having a meal with anyone, for the longest time. Finally, it was in our last week in US that we had a meal with one of our dear families. Good times!
Just came to know that the place has closed. Alas, good things can come to an end but the silver lining is good memories remain forever!
Hoping that I cross paths with that sweet family someday, they had mentioned their ambition to open a store in New York so God willing if I ever am in NY again, will definitely keep a look out for their branch!
